Do I have to be a landscaper to buy materials?

No, Tameling’s is open to the public.

Where can I see the material that you carry?

We have display bins in our showroom and yard that you can see during hours and after hours. There are pictures on the website.

What are the store hours?

During April-Oct, we are open Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sat 7:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Closed Sunday.

How do I place an order for a delivery to my home?

You can order over the phone or come in the store.

How far in advance do I need to give to place an order?

During the busy season (April-June) at least a day. During the rest of the year, we usually can do it same day.

What is the minimum and maximum for deliveries?

The minimum is one yard or one ton. The maximum is fourteen yards or fourteen tons.

Can I get an exact delivery time?

We can’t promise an exact time because of traffic and other factors. We give two hour intervals between 8-10, 10-12, 12-2 and 2-4.

Do I have to be home for my delivery?

No. If your delivery is not COD, there is dumping instruction, no cars that need to be moved and there are no other obstructions blocking the truck.

Where do you dump the material?

Usually in the driveway. The trucks are 10.5 feet wide and eleven feet tall without raising the dump box. The trucks will make ruts in your grass if we go on the lawn.

Can I get more than one item delivered?

Yes. We have a split truck that can fit up to 4 yards or tons of one product in the front and 3 yards or 3 tons of another product in the back.

What payments do you accept?

We take cash, check, VISA, MasterCard, Discover and American Express.

Do you also do landscaping?

No. We just supply the material.

Do you recommend landscapers?

No. We have many landscapers and wouldn’t be fair to favor one over another. Tamelings doesn’t want to be liable if the homeowner is not satisfied with a landscaper that was recommended.

How is the material sold?

The topsoil, mulches, compost and garden mix are sold by the yard or gallon. The decorative stones, construction stones, and flagstones are sold by the pound and by the ton.

What is the difference between a yard and ton of stone?

A ton of stone is about ¾ of yard.

What is the coverage of the stone and mulches?

Refer to pages 5 and 17 for coverage

Do I have to have the material delivered?

No. You can come during hours and load up your vehicle. We have a truck scale to weigh your vehicle if you are picking up stone and our tractor buckets are ½ yard, 1 yard, and 3 yard buckets if you are picking up dirt or mulch.

Do you carry plants?

How do I order sod?

We at Tameling Industries are always looking for good people to help us with the following day to day operations:

  • Sales Counter: The job would require dealing with both landscapers and homeowners that come into our showroom. Taking delivery orders over the phone and working a basic cash register. We are open during the summer months six days a week and could be looking for full time or part time people.
  • Yard Help: The job would require driving tractors and forklifts loading up landscapers as well as Tameling delivery trucks.
  • CDL Driver: We require a CDL class B with air brake endorsement and CDL class A.
